What makes the Tara River so suitable for rafting is the fact that it has an average gradient of 4.5 meters per kilometer along its course. The water is crystal clear and light blue in color, and what’s particularly impressive is that you can drink it as you float along, as the water is potable throughout the entire length of the Tara River.
Rafting isn’t just about the thrill of the descent; it’s also about socializing and forging new friendships. During the descent, you’ll meet people from other rafts, from different camps, and there will be plenty of laughter and good vibes all around.
The Tara River stretches for 146 kilometers, and according to the international river classification scale, it has a grade of 4a in terms of rafting activity level, which places it among the top most attractive rivers globally, along with the Zambezi River in Africa and the Colorado River in America.

The Rajska Rijeka Camp is located in an ideal spot for rafting – the last 15 kilometers of the Tara River, which is also the most attractive part. Our extensive experience in guiding and organizing rafting tours has placed us at the top of the list of rafting camps in the area. We are equipped with state-of-the-art rafting gear, so when you arrive, all you need to bring is a good mood and perhaps a phone with a camera to capture some memorable moments.
Within the camp complex, you’ll find accommodation in various categories of rooms. The food in the restaurant is excellent and adaptable to all dietary preferences. The restaurant also has a bar that transforms into a club in the evenings, providing a fantastic opportunity for socializing, meeting new people, and relaxing while enjoying locally produced goods. In short, at our camp, you have everything you need for an extraordinary vacation with friends!
Arrival at Camp Rajska Rijeka in the afternoon. Accommodation and dinner. For dinner, you will have the opportunity to try freshly prepared local specialties (goulash, grilled dishes, pies, grilled fresh trout, date cakes, etc.) to enjoy the ambiance of the camp with light music and crackling fire, and to rest from the journey. Overnight stay.
After breakfast, the preparation for rafting begins, including selecting equipment, briefing with the guide, and transportation to the starting point. Then follows a descent along the Tara River for about 25 km, with a few stops for photography and swimming. You’ll arrive at our private beach, where lunch awaits, featuring freshly prepared specialties such as veal, beef soup, and local desserts. After some rest and relaxation, enjoy some camaraderie at the camp with music and a bonfire. Dinner will be served, followed by overnight stay.
Breakfast featuring local specialties such as homemade prosciutto, cheese, pies, fried dough with cream, homemade honey, and more awaits you. Then, it’s time to prepare for departure, pack up, and leave the camp.
